wordless wednesday::the bacon slab
we usuall buy 1 lb. of the thick sliced bacon at our regular deli stand at the market. on our last visit, they had placed bacon slabs on the counter top which also happens to be at my husband's eye-level. need i say more?

You guys and your bacon! That's a lot of pig.
Uh????. . . . you'll laugh, but the only bacon we like is a Hormel microwave bacon that is sealed in packs of 4 ~ the only micro one we like - very hard to find! But, hey, no grease! :) LOL!

Its probably been 40 years since I have seen bacon and never cubed. It looks as though its riddled with lard fat. I'm unfamiliar with its use. guess it might go into soup?
My wood-fired smoker is salivating, right now. That would go nicely on kabobs or in a pot of black beans...
