mother's day celebration

every year our church provides the opportunity for families to dedicate their new baby.  baby dedication always falls on mother's day. even when we don't have our own baby to dedicate, i have always found the baby dedication service to be convicting and encouraging.  seeing the babies up there is a great reminder of God's primary purpose for me as a mother.

this year we dedicated our sweet boy, gibson marshall.

he was looking rather sharp (or perhaps "dapper" would be more appropriate?) in his little outfit.  and even dad wore pants to match his little boy (too bad i didn't capture that on photo).

later on, we cooked out and had both moms present for dinner.  it was a perfectly enjoyable mother's day!
